I'm using the Crydom CMX series to operate a solenoid. What is the diode to use in the freewheeling circuit in parallel to the load?
The suppression diode has to be selected based on the back EMF voltage and current. Note this is relevant for DC inductive loads only. The 1N4004 diode will work in most cases.
